Liverpool assistant manager Zeljko Buvac has reportedly emerged as best candidate to replace Arsene Wenger as Arsenal boss.
The Gunners are on the lookout for a new manager, after announcing Wenger will depart this summer following 22 years as Arsenal boss.
Buvac has been Klopp’s long time assistant, working with the Reds chief for 17 years at Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.
Liverpool reported he has departed for “personal reasons”, a move that came as a major shock just days ahead of their clash with Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
Arsenal’s head of football relations Raul Sanllehi, head of recruitment Sven Mislintat and chief executive Ivan Gazidis are leading the search for Wenger’s replacement.
And according to a report in Bosnia, Pravda BL confirmed Jurgen Klopp’s appointment on Merseyside just before he took up the post in 2015. It is reported that Buvac is set to head to the Emirates this summer.
