Air Peace has commenced flights from its Murtala Mohammed Airport (MMA) hub in Lagos to the Kaduna International Airport (KIA), Kaduna.
The inaugural flight on Embraer 145 plane piloted by Capt. Matthew Ekeinde landed at KIA at 9:10am amid the ceremonial water salute by the fire-fighting personnel of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
Also, the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, represented by the Bardan Zazzau and District Head of Kudu, Alhaji Shehu Tijjani, joined other agencies at the airport to welcome the new airline to the state.
Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Mr. Allen Onyema, said the airline was encouraged by the turnout of passengers, noting that as of Friday last week, the flight was almost fully booked. “This tells you the kind of reception accorded us by the people of Kaduna,” he said.
